So if you’ve ever tried traveling and blogging at the same time you’ll know it’s a pretty difficult task! Generally when you’re traveling you’re not writing, and when you’re writing you’re not traveling! So while this past week I’ve been out collecting material to write about – and trying to live as much in each moment as possible without being consumed by the need to stay connected, I have been posting instant photos from my phone to instagram as we make our way towards Washington DC!
A recent Instagram Snapshots series on Wanderlusters.co.uk made me realize an Instagram recap from the week was a brilliant idea!
Here are the top instagram photos from this past week!
Staying connected while on the road! All a girl needs is a laptop, wireless mouse and portable phone wifi!
Florida into Georgia! We spent the evening on day 1 exploring Savannah and had our first DoubleTree by Hilton experience! Truly excited to travel to South and Central America with DoubleTree next year; the hotel and hospitality was phenomenal!
Day 2: Watching the sunrise over Myrtle Beach from our balcony at Hampton Inn & Suites was truly spectacular. I actually chose to wake up at 6am so not to miss it…a huge thing considering I’m NOT a morning person!
Enjoying Myrtle Beach! Reminds me a lot of Gold Coast Australia.
Day 3: I fell in love with the city of Charlotte as soon as we arrived! Such an amazing blend of metropolis and rich history!
Did I mention I was in love with the city of Charlotte? The skyline is absolutely magical once evening hits – we only walked for 5 minutes from our hotel for this view! (Hilton Charlotte City Center)
Day 4: The view from Chimney Rock. Beginning the drive of Blue Ridge Parkway; fun fact – the Hunger Games was filmed here!
Visiting America’s largest home! Biltmore Estate was an unforgettable experience…we splurged and stayed the night!
The Blue Ridge Parkway offers visitors a variety of wildlife; Black bears, deer, Ground hogs, squirrels…but Highland cows??!!
Remember to follow us on Instagram; a lot more adventure to come!

I totally understand you sweetie. It is so difficult to combine your travels with blogging (especially when you need to manage all your social media channels and write blog posts). It’s a hard but very rewarding job :). Just take your time, enjoy your travel during the day and work before you go to sleep xx
Thanks Agness! It definitely is rewarding though – agree with you there!! This trip was definitely a great experiment for me to see how I handled everything while being on the road!
Thanks for sharing Meg, thrilled you love our Snapshots series!
It’s a great series! Awesome way to combine social media’s as well – thanks for the inspiration! :)
