The EM District is Bangkok’s newest tourist hotspot with its massive luxury shopping malls and some of the city’s finest cuisine. And a city in itself, once you arrive it’s difficult to find a reason to leave.
Perfectly positioned within walking distance to all the EM District has to offer, and with the peaceful retreat of Queen’s Park in its backyard, when it comes to Bangkok accommodation, you can’t go wrong with the Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park.
DEAL EXPIRED: Save up to 67% off your stay at Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park with package deals from Luxury Escapes.
What to Expect From a Stay at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park
The Hotel
Location alone would warrant booking this hotel for its easy walking distance to the Emporium & EmQuartier malls as well as Phrom Phong station. You organize one Bangkok airport transfer and then can walk or train for the rest of your trip! Though it really doesn’t hurt that the hotel is also 5-star luxury across the board.
Make sure you get access to the exclusive M Club Lounge as it really makes the stay (included when you book a 3 night package through Luxury Escapes). You get great food, a bottomless glass of alcohol, and stunning city views.
As always the rooms are Marriott perfect with their comfortable beds and modern amenities. The hotel has everything you need including a pool, spa, fitness area, and restaurants to suit any appetite.
Conference rooms rival the best found in Bangkok making it perfect for the business traveler as well.
Dining
With over 50 dining options, EmQuartier’s Helix is where it’s at when it comes to tantalizing your taste buds. A spiraling dining extraordinaire awaits as you check out floor after floor of great restaurants.
For the Instagramer, there’s “Full flavor” offering photo worthy traditional Thai meals. For a cozy and affordable experience, head to the two-story KRAM Cafe & Thai Kitchen.
Or, if you’re traveling as a couple, impress your date / partner by taking them to the all out sexy that is Bella Rocca. The great restaurant is made even better if you love Italian.
Shopping
You couldn’t possibly dream of better shopping than what is offered by Bangkok’s EM District. Soon to be comprised of three luxury shopping malls, the current duo of giant malls offer more than enough temptation as it is.
Music, fashion, and art festivals all come together at the EM’s dozen or so venues making the District a perfect stage for world class exhibitions. You better hope you brought an additional suitcase along with having booked an airline that offers generous weight restrictions!
Emporium consists of six floors of upscale restaurants and enough luxury brands to impress the Kardashians. While it has recently been refurbished, it doesn’t attract quite the crowds that its newer and flashier sibling does. This makes the Emporium a great place to shop away from crowds if you find yourself a bit claustrophobic.
What makes EmQuartier flashier? How about its stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, a waterfall, a massive rainforest chandelier, skywalks, oh yeah and its shopping. You’ll find Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel, and more.
EmSphere will be the third and final installment of this ambitious District project. Looking like Spaceship Earth from Disney’s Epcot, who knows what this mall opening within the next year will have in store.
Local Attractions
Although it’s pretty hard to miss the Dinosaurs that have invaded Bankonk, I recommend giving Dinosaur Planet a miss. Ironically, the attraction is a bit small, it’s overpriced, and even young kids find it a bit underwhelming. Rest assured however that you will find enough alternative options to keep you busy.
Benjasiri Park, or Queen’s Park, commemorates the 60th birthday of Thailand’s queen dowager Sirikit. The park is a great place to get away from the busy city to enjoy a bit of tranquility and is a favorite of joggers. Best of all is that Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park offers their own direct gate access to the park.
K-Village offers local Thai foods and crafts through its weekend markets. Dasa Book Café is a book lover’s dream, offering second hand books in a wide variety of languages including a large percentage in English.
You may want to make sure you have travel insurance for this next one, but head to Flow House where you can surf in the middle of the city. Be advised you may end up on your face numerous times but will have a smile as you do!

Highly recommend it if you can organize the stopover – one of the great cities in SE Asia, it would be a shame to miss it if you’re already in the area :) … and with the 67% discount, great excuse right!
I’ve been to Bangkok so many times but I haven’t had the pleasure of staying here. Maybe next time, if they’ll still have that much of a discount, I can finally afford to do so. The dining options alone (and the views!) make it worth it!

This looks like an amazing place for a vacation! Loving the vibe so much! And as someone who constantly shares photos of her food in the internets, 50 dining options seem like the place for a girl like me! I’m not overly crazy about Italian food (no, I don’t dislike it!), but I Googled Bella Roca, and my mouth just watered!
Glad we could tempt you with the food scene – it’s one of the best!! If you enjoy taking photos of your food, this is definitely the place to be. Hope you have the chance to travel soon!

The Marriott Marquis is definitely a reason to visit Bangkok in its own right!
This looks beautiful! Very clean, spacious hotel and I can see it would be ideal for business travel. I’ve never been to Bangkok but the shopping malls sound amazing! I can’t believe there are so many dining options – certainly lots of options to cater for everyone, it would just be such a mission choosing where to go!
Definitely the hardest part about dinner is choosing where to go! Options to satiate every appetite!

I’ve never been to Thailand but it’s been at the top of my wishlist for years, hoping to go soon. Marriott hotel may be out of my budget, but that discount surely makes it more affordable. I love that terrace, I’d probably take photos of the view and the food until the food gets cold, haha.
The packages from Luxury Escapes definitely make top end hotel experiences a lot more affordable – jump on the deal while it’s out there :)
That pool is absolutely gorgeous and I can’t think of a better city to enjoy a refreshing dip at an outside pool thank Bangkok. The fact that you can eat outside and enjoy a stunning view is even better – I can just see myself relaxing up there and nibbling on my favourite Thai food. I’m so excited that it’s a Marriott too – my sister in law works at a Canadian hotel chain that just merged with Marriott and she can now book us special deals all around the world – I think it’s time we start planning another trip.
Isn’t the pool incredible!! And yes, the M Club Lounge is one of the best secrets in the city – can highly recommend this property, especially if you get great family and friends rates! Otherwise def check out the packages through Luxury Escapes :)
Looks like a perfect place to stay in Bangkok. Those rooms too are beautiful. Love the space and the design. Bangkok is a crazy, busy, frantic city, so it is nice to have a place to retreat to and just be able to relax!
Aren’t the rooms incredible! I give huge props to the team who chose the design – very sophisticated, and spacious. It’s definitely a wonderful choice for retreat amid the crazy city life.
What can go wrong with the Marriott hotel? The ultimate luxury! I haven’t gone back to Bangkok for a long long time. People say it’s the best place for shopping. Wish I have the budget likes yours too when I travel!

Wow, so many dining and shopping options! I think it’s cool that they have in mind those that want to take Instagram worthy photos. I love that it’s in such a great location too!
It’s quite the hub! ANd yes, insta-worthy has become quite the consideration when booking a hotel or dining reservation now – a little bit crazy in my opinion, but I won’t say no to an artfully inspired cocktail or plate!
