In an attempt to visit every foreign shore, Mike and I have been around the world a couple of times, maybe more. Here is a photo essay of some of our favorite Destinations on earth!

Fort Jefferson, Dry Tortugas – Florida. A massive, unfinished coastal fortress, Fort Jefferson is situated in the Dry Tortugas National Park – the westernmost and most isolated of the Florida Keys.

Tasmania, Australia. Tasmania is Australia’s most naturally beautiful State. Visitors should not pass on the opportunity to travel here.

We didn’t find a monster, but we did find unimaginable beauty at Loch Ness in Scotland.

It might be a great cliche to fall in love with New York City, but there’s something magical about the city!

Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. Hard to believe both Mike and I made it to the top of this incredibly majestic mountain!

The view from the top of Mt Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

Ayers Rock (Uluru), Australia. It is the symbol of the Australian Outback and stunning once the sun begins to set making the rock glow red.

Lake George, Australia. Never having actually stopped at Lake George, I have often taken in the stunning views while making the 3 hour drive between the Australian Capital Territory and Sydney.

Old Florida. Covered in Spanish Moss, and wild, overgrown vegetation, there is something incredibly romantic, eerie and magical about Old Florida.

Edinburgh over New Years Eve.

The Twelve Apostles, Victoria, Australia.

Megan,
First I have to say I LOVE your new website. I just got my own (meager) website up a month ago, and I too am a Twitter newbie, as of May I didn’t have an account. Your gains over a short amount of time are truly impressive!
My favorite destination to date has been Greece, and although I only spent a couple of weeks visiting three islands, I would love to go back to Milos and just absorb the air. The people we met were so warm and hospitable, and the dramatic natural scenery, rock formations, sapphire waters, incredibly warm nights and hot days, fabulous home cooked meals – it was incredible.
According to your travel map (love that feature too) you haven’t been to northern California, so I hereby warmly invite you to visit. I should mention that Northern and Southern California are two entirely different places. They could be separate states! The culture, the weather, the foods, they are very different, so make sure you put it on your to-do list. The best time of year is right now or during the fall and it is great fun to come up to wine country during “the crush” when the grapes are harvested. Visit a winery when there is a feeling of excitement in the air of what this harvest will bring – it is great fun.
Congrats on your website, and obviously, what your parents said is true – you can accomplish anything you set your mind to and work hard accomplishing it.
I do think I should come and visit you in Florida some time:)
Amazing, beautiful pictures! I love the colors in the picture of Dry Tortuga.
Oh man, Megan – I have some more places to put on my bucket list… Just awesome work! Thanks for the inspiration!
Great web site from a fellow travel lover! I love the photos. You really capture the excitement of the destination. I’m looking forward to learning and sharing travel tips.
Love the list and pics!
Favorite place so far is Slovenia. Looking forward to seeing Greece in March. We recently moved to Montenegro so we have access to so many wonderful destinations and not enough time! Love your work. Cheers!
Sorry for the link above. It pulled from our Russian page. Don’t be alarmed by the funky letters. It’s Supposed to be Cyrillic. Here’s the English if interested http://meanderbug.com/cevapi-national-treasure/#.UvflVH-9KSM
