From my seat here in Australia, Black Friday sales have not typically mattered to me.
As my friend Vanessa Chaisson wrote: “I reject the manipulation of capitalism and societal pressure which leads to environmental destruction, communities ravaged by debt, and non-ironic acid washed jeans.
I am a minimalist committed to supporting local businesses and the betterment of my community. I have been blessed with abundance this year and I need nothing more.”
But when I heard about Hotels.com offering 50% off hotels for Black Friday this was also me:

Don’t Miss This Black Friday Sale!
If you’re a die-hard traveler it’s highly likely that you’re already planning 10 trips by now. So instead of a shopping spree this Black Friday, why not go on a hotel booking spree before this deal runs out!
Hotels.com have massive discounts from now until November 27 2018 of up to and above 50% off, plus if you’re an Australian resident, you can get an extra 10% off using the discount code THANKS.

The Fine Print
I know reading the fine print is less exciting as the actual sale, so I’ve read and summarized it for you!
50% off hotels is available for travel between now (21 November 2018) and the 31st of March 2019. You have to book on the Australian version of Hotels.com by November 27; the sale ends at 23:59 AEST.
Major chains like Hyatt and Marriott are excluded from the sale (you can find a full list of non-participating hotels here), but there are plenty of incredible properties who are taking part.
For instance, heading to Paris? The 4 star Hôtel Auteuil Tour Eiffel is 40% off. Heading to Kyoto? The Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto is 55% off!
If you don’t see me posting over the next 4 days it’s because I’m obsessively scrolling through these deals like a mad woman possessed to book in my trips for 2019!
